STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

When an electric stove doesn’t ignite, first check if the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the appliance power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on, then some other part will have to be replaced. The reason for the issue might be the surface element, infinite switch, igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER DOESN’T HEAT

A stove or burner that doesn’t heat doesn’t do much. Your oven doesn’t heat if there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. Your burner doesn’t heat if an element breaks or when the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We are able to troubleshoot and fix these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control board on an oven is broken if the program or timer functions are not working. OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always need a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the heat is extremely hot, it could be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen can find the cause of the problem and fix it. But be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is that an igniter will glow but will not light. The cause is from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can fix these parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens can experience door issues often. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door does not open up and then we complete the repair in order to fix the issue.
